Surah Al-Ma'arij — Verse 16

This verse describes the intense torment of Hellfire, which is a direct consequence of rejecting the truth and turning away from Allah’s guidance in this worldly life. The fire of Hell is not merely a burning flame; it is a raging, blazing inferno that seizes its victims with unbearable heat. It tears away the skin of the head—the scalp—and strips the flesh from the limbs and extremities with such ferocity that it removes them completely. This is not a one-time event; the torment is continuous and ever-renewing. The skin and limbs are torn off, and then they are restored, only to be torn away again, in an endless cycle of agony. This punishment is the ultimate result of arrogance, disobedience, and the accumulation of wealth without fulfilling the rights of Allah upon it.
