O you who have truly believed in Allah and followed His Messenger, when you meet the disbelievers in battle — advancing upon you in dense, formidable ranks, their numbers overwhelming — do not turn your backs to them in flight. Do not retreat out of fear or cowardice. Instead, stand firm before them with courage and patience, for Allah is with you, granting you His support, victory, and divine aid. This command is a test of your faith and trust in Allah’s promise, for He has guaranteed triumph to those who remain steadfast in His cause.
