Translation — Tafsir

Word Meanings:

  • Quwwah (قُوَّةٍ): Strength, power, or ability to defend oneself.
  • Nāsir (نَاصِرٍ): A helper, supporter, or one who comes to one's aid.

Tafsir (Explanation):

On that Day—the Day when all secrets are laid bare and every hidden intention is brought to light—the human being will find himself utterly helpless. He will possess no strength of his own to ward off the punishment of Allah, nor will he find any ally or intercessor to shield him from the consequences of his deeds. Every false support he relied upon in the worldly life—be it wealth, status, family, or false deities—will vanish, leaving him alone before his Lord. The One who created him from a drop of fluid and brought him into existence will hold him fully accountable, and no power in the universe can stand against His decree.

This verse serves as a profound reminder that true power belongs solely to Allah. In this fleeting world, people often place their trust in their own abilities, their connections, or their material resources, forgetting that all of these are temporary and ultimately futile in the face of divine justice. On the Day of Resurrection, the reality of human weakness will become unmistakably clear: no muscle, no army, no wealth, and no influential friend will be able to avert even a moment of Allah's judgment.

Yet, this is not a message of despair—it is a call to awakening. Allah, in His infinite mercy, has given us this life as an opportunity to turn to Him, to seek His forgiveness, and to build a relationship with Him through faith and righteous deeds. The very fact that He warns us of this Day is a sign of His love for us; He does not wish for us to be destroyed, but rather to succeed. So, while we still have breath in our lungs, let us attach ourselves to the Only One who truly has power and can grant us victory—Allah, the Almighty. Let us make Him our Protector and Helper in this life, so that on the Day when no other helper exists, He will be our refuge and our salvation. For whoever relies on Allah, Allah is sufficient, and His support is the only support that will never fail.
