Translation — Tafsir
Word Meanings:
- "Saddaqa" (وَصَدَّقَ): He affirmed, believed in, and confirmed with certainty.
- "Bil-Husna" (بِالْحُسْنَىٰ): The best, the most beautiful — referring to the word of monotheism (Lā ilāha illallāh), the promise of Allah, and the excellent reward He has prepared for His righteous servants.
Explanation of the Verse:
This verse describes the second quality of the one who will be guided to the path of ease and goodness. After mentioning that such a person gives from his wealth and fears Allah, Allah says: "And he affirmed the best" — meaning he sincerely believed in the word of Tawḥīd (Lā ilāha illallāh) and everything it entails: the oneness of Allah, His perfect attributes, His promises of reward for the obedient, and His warnings of punishment for the disobedient. He also believed in the beautiful replacement that Allah guarantees for those who spend in His cause — that He will compensate them with something better, both in this world and in the Hereafter. This affirmation is not merely a verbal declaration, but a heartfelt conviction that shapes one's actions, turning faith into a living reality that guides the believer toward righteousness.
A Call to the Reader:
Dear brother and sister in humanity, look at the beauty of this divine description! Allah is telling us that the key to an easy, blessed life lies in two simple yet profound acts: giving from what we love, and believing with certainty in the best — that Allah's promise is true, that His reward is greater than anything we sacrifice, and that the word of monotheism is the most precious treasure a heart can hold. When you truly believe that Allah will replace whatever you give with something better, your hand opens generously, your heart finds peace, and your path becomes smooth. This is the secret of the successful ones — they did not wait to see the reward before believing; they believed first, and then the reward came flowing. So open your heart to this beautiful truth today, and let it transform your life into a journey of ease and divine grace.
