Translation — Tafsir
Word Meanings:
- مَّاكِثِينَ (Mākithīn): Residing, staying, or dwelling permanently.
- فِيهِ (Fīhi): In it — referring to Paradise (Jannah), the reward mentioned in the preceding verse.
- أَبَدًا (Abadan): Forever, eternally, without any end or interruption.
Explanation of the Verse:
This verse completes the description of the reward promised to the believers — those who have faith in Allah and His Messenger and perform righteous deeds. After mentioning that they will receive a great reward, Allah clarifies the nature of that reward: they will remain in Paradise forever, never leaving it and never having it taken away from them. The word "mākithīn" emphasizes a state of permanent residence, while "abadan" stresses that this duration is infinite — no expiration, no termination, and no change. This is not a temporary stay or a fleeting pleasure; it is an everlasting abode of bliss, where every moment is filled with joy, peace, and the pleasure of Allah. The verse reassures the believers that their efforts in this world — their prayers, charity, patience, and obedience — will be met with a reward that transcends time and imagination. It also contrasts with the fate of the disbelievers, who will face severe punishment, as mentioned in the preceding context. This eternal promise is a source of immense hope and motivation for every believer to remain steadfast on the path of righteousness, knowing that the hardships of this temporary world are nothing compared to the everlasting delight that awaits them.
Da'wah Reflection:
Dear reader, imagine a life with no sorrow, no pain, no fatigue, and no end — a life of pure happiness in the presence of your Lord. This is not a fantasy; it is a divine promise from Allah, the All-Truthful, to those who believe and do good. Every good deed you do today — every prayer, every kind word, every act of charity — is an investment in an eternal future that never fades. Allah invites you to this everlasting success. Do not let the fleeting pleasures of this world distract you from the eternal bliss that awaits. Turn to your Lord with a sincere heart, and He will grant you a residence in Paradise where you will remain forever, honored and content. This is the ultimate success — so strive for it with all your might, and let this promise fill your heart with hope and determination.
