Key Words and Phrases:
- إِلَٰهُكُمُ (Ilahukum): Your deity, the One who is worshipped.
- لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ (La ilaha illa Huwa): There is no god worthy of worship except Him.
- وَسِعَ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ عِلْمًا (Wasi'a kulla shay'in 'ilman): His knowledge encompasses everything; nothing escapes His awareness.
Explanation of the Verse:
O people, this verse delivers a decisive and liberating truth: your only true deity—the One deserving of your worship, devotion, and love—is Allah alone. He is the God who has no partner, no rival, and no equal. Every other object of worship, whether a statue, a star, a prophet, or a worldly desire, is false and unworthy of your heart's submission.
Allah alone is the Creator, the Sustainer, and the Sovereign of all that exists. And to reassure your heart and strengthen your trust in Him, the verse adds a profound attribute: His knowledge encompasses everything. Nothing in the heavens or the earth, no secret thought, no hidden deed, no atom's weight in the depths of the ocean or the vastness of space—nothing escapes His all-encompassing awareness. He knows what was, what is, and what will be, and He knows the innermost secrets of your soul even before you utter them.
This verse is a call to purify your faith and anchor it in the Oneness of Allah. When you truly realize that your God is the One whose knowledge covers all things, you find peace in knowing that your struggles, your prayers, and your hopes are never unnoticed. He sees your tears, hears your silent supplications, and knows your sincere intentions.
So, dear reader, let this truth transform your life: direct your worship to Allah alone, for He is the only One who deserves it. And take comfort in His infinite knowledge—He knows exactly what you need, when you need it, and how to grant it in the best way. Turn to Him with a humble heart, for the door of His mercy is always open, and His knowledge is the guarantee that your every good deed will never be lost. This is the essence of true faith—a faith that liberates you from fear, confusion, and false hopes, and connects you directly to the All-Knowing, All-Wise Creator.
