Translation — Tafsir

Word Meanings:

  • Al-Mulk (الْمُلْكُ): The absolute sovereignty, authority, and dominion.
  • Yawma-idhin (يَوْمَئِذٍ): On that Day — meaning the Day of Resurrection.
  • Yahkumu (يَحْكُمُ): He will judge and decide with perfect justice.
  • Jannat al-Na’eem (جَنَّاتِ النَّعِيمِ): Gardens of everlasting delight and bliss.

Tafsir (Explanation):

On that momentous Day — the Day when all doubts vanish and every soul stands before its Creator — all dominion and authority will belong to Allah alone. No king, no ruler, no power will have any say; every throne will crumble, and every crown will fall. It is Allah, and only Allah, who will judge between His servants with absolute justice, weighing every deed and settling every affair.

For those who believed in Allah with sincere hearts and followed that faith with righteous actions — performing good deeds, upholding His commands, and avoiding what He forbade — their reward is the Gardens of Delight. These are gardens of eternal bliss where no sorrow enters, no fatigue touches, and where every joy is pure and everlasting. It is a reward that never ends and a happiness that never fades.

This verse carries a profound reminder: the temporary kingdoms of this world — with all their pomp and power — will one day come to an end, and the only true and lasting sovereignty belongs to Allah. So let every believer strive in this short life to earn what will last forever. Let us fill our days with faith and good works, so that when that Day arrives, we may be among those welcomed into the eternal Gardens of Bliss, where peace and happiness await us forever.

📜 Verse 54-58 — Al-Hajj

And so those who were given knowledge may know that it is the truth from your Lord and [therefore] believe in it, and their hearts humbly submit to it. And indeed is Allah the Guide of those who have believed to a straight path.
But those who disbelieve will not cease to be in doubt of it until the Hour comes upon them unexpectedly or there comes to them the punishment of a barren Day.
[All] sovereignty that Day is for Allah; He will judge between them. So they who believed and did righteous deeds will be in the Gardens of Pleasure.
And they who disbelieved and denied Our signs - for those there will be a humiliating punishment.
And those who emigrated for the cause of Allah and then were killed or died - Allah will surely provide for them a good provision. And indeed, it is Allah who is the best of providers.
