Word Meanings:

  • Tanzeel (تَنزِيلُ): The sending down or revelation of something from above, in stages or at once.
  • Al-Kitab (الْكِتَابِ): The Book — referring here to the Qur'an, the final revealed scripture.
  • La Rayba (لَا رَيْبَ): No doubt, uncertainty, or suspicion whatsoever.
  • Rabb al-'Alameen (رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ): The Lord and Sustainer of all the worlds — all of creation, seen and unseen.

Explanation of the Verse:

This verse stands as a decisive declaration of the divine origin of the Qur'an. It affirms that this Book — the one revealed to Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) — is undoubtedly a revelation sent down from Allah, the Lord of all the worlds. There is no room for skepticism or hesitation regarding its source. The verse addresses any lingering doubt in the hearts of its listeners, asserting with absolute certainty that this is not the work of a human being, nor a product of imagination or poetry, but a direct communication from the Creator of everything that exists.

The Qur'an itself is the greatest proof of its own divine origin. Its unmatched eloquence, its profound wisdom, its scientific and historical accuracy, and its transformative impact on humanity all testify that it could not have come from anyone other than Allah. When one reflects deeply upon its verses, its perfect coherence, and its timeless guidance, the truth becomes self-evident: this is a revelation from the Lord of all worlds — the One who created the heavens and the earth, who knows the secrets of every heart, and who sent this Book as a mercy and a guidance for all of humanity.

A Call to Reflection and Faith:

Dear reader, when you hold the Qur'an in your hands, know that you are holding a direct message from your Creator. The One who made you, who sustains you, and who knows what is best for you has spoken to you through these verses. There is no doubt in this — only a call to open your heart, to reflect, and to respond. The Qur'an is not merely a book to be read; it is a living guidance meant to illuminate your path, to comfort your soul, and to lead you to eternal success. Let this certainty settle in your heart: this is the word of Allah, the Lord of all worlds, sent down with love and wisdom for your benefit. Respond to it with sincerity, and you will find a light that never fades and a peace that surpasses all understanding.

[This is] the revelation of the Book about which there is no doubt from the Lord of the worlds.
Or do they say, "He invented it"? Rather, it is the truth from your Lord, [O Muhammad], that you may warn a people to whom no warner has come before you [so] perhaps they will be guided.
It is Allah who created the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them in six days; then He established Himself above the Throne. You have not besides Him any protector or any intercessor; so will you not be reminded?
