Translation — Tafsir

Word Meanings:

He will make your deeds sound, righteous, and acceptable; He will perfect and bless them.
He will forgive your sins and wipe them away entirely.
He has achieved the ultimate, magnificent success and triumph.

Explanation of the Verse:

This blessed verse comes as a direct promise from Allah to those who embody two essential qualities: taqwa (consciousness of Allah and piety) and saying the right, truthful word (qawl sadid). When a believer sincerely fears Allah in all their affairs—guarding their heart, tongue, and actions—and speaks with honesty, justice, and wisdom, then Allah makes a magnificent guarantee:

First, Allah will reform and perfect your deeds. This means He will purify your actions from any defects, accept your good works, and multiply their reward. Your efforts, however small, become elevated and blessed, and your life's work takes on a divine purpose and sweetness.

Second, Allah will forgive your sins. He will erase your shortcomings, cover your faults, and not hold you accountable for your past mistakes. This is a profound mercy—a clean slate and a heart freed from the burden of guilt.

Then the verse concludes with a powerful, motivating statement: "And whoever obeys Allah and His Messenger has certainly achieved a great victory." This is the ultimate success—not measured by wealth, status, or worldly gains, but by attaining Allah's pleasure and entering His eternal Paradise. This is the victory that no other triumph can rival, for it encompasses the joy of this life, peace in the grave, and everlasting bliss in the Hereafter.

A Call to Reflection:

Dear believer, see how easy Allah has made the path to success! He does not ask for perfection, but for sincerity and truthfulness. When you align your heart with Allah and your tongue with truth, Allah Himself takes charge of your affairs—He fixes what is broken in your life, He forgives what has passed, and He grants you a success that transcends this temporary world.

Let this verse be a daily reminder: every time you choose honesty over falsehood, every time you restrain yourself from sin out of love for Allah, you are investing in a victory that never fades. The gates of Paradise are open, and the path is clear—obedience to Allah and His Messenger ﷺ is the key. So strive, and rejoice in the promise of your Lord, for His word is true and His reward is immense.

📜 Verse 69-73 — Al-Ahzab

O you who have believed, be not like those who abused Moses; then Allah cleared him of what they said. And he, in the sight of Allah, was distinguished.
O you who have believed, fear Allah and speak words of appropriate justice.
He will [then] amend for you your deeds and forgive you your sins. And whoever obeys Allah and His Messenger has certainly attained a great attainment.
Indeed, we offered the Trust to the heavens and the earth and the mountains, and they declined to bear it and feared it; but man [undertook to] bear it. Indeed, he was unjust and ignorant.
[It was] so that Allah may punish the hypocrite men and hypocrite women and the men and women who associate others with Him and that Allah may accept repentance from the believing men and believing women. And ever is Allah Forgiving and Merciful.
