Interpretation of the Verse:
In this profound verse, Allah (Exalted be He) describes His perfect creation of the earth and His immense mercy toward all living beings. After creating the earth, He placed upon it firm, towering mountains that stand as stabilizers, preventing the earth from tilting or shaking, so that life upon it may proceed in peace and security. These mountains are not merely decorative; they are signs of divine wisdom and care.
Then, Allah blessed the earth — He filled it with abundant goodness, water springs, fertile soil, vegetation, and countless sources of nourishment. This blessing is continuous and everlasting, ensuring that every creature finds its share of sustenance. He then precisely measured and allotted the provisions of all living beings — humans, animals, and every moving creature — according to their exact needs, in four complete days. These four days include the two days of creating the earth and two additional days for placing the mountains and determining the provisions. This timeline is stated clearly for those who ask, so that they may reflect upon the perfection of Allah’s creation and the meticulous planning behind every detail of existence.
This verse invites us to contemplate the greatness of the Creator, who did not create anything in vain. Every mountain, every resource, and every provision is a sign of His mercy and wisdom. When we look at the earth and see its stability, its abundance, and its perfect balance, we are reminded that Allah alone is the Sustainer and Provider. He has already measured and prepared everything we need — our role is to trust Him, work within His creation, and be grateful for His countless blessings.
A Da’wah Reflection:
Dear reader, pause and reflect: the same Allah who placed mountains to steady the earth and measured the provisions of every creature is the One who knows your needs, your struggles, and your future. He has already written your provision and prepared your path. So, turn to Him with a content heart, strive in this world with trust, and never despair — for the One who perfected the creation of the heavens and the earth is more than capable of taking care of you. Let this verse strengthen your faith and fill your heart with hope and gratitude.
