Key Words and Meanings:

  • "Awa lam yaraw" (أَوَلَمْ يَرَوْا): "Have they not seen/realized?" – a rhetorical question expressing astonishment at their denial.
  • "Lam ya'ya" (لَمْ يَعْيَ): "Did not fail" or "did not become weary" – meaning He did not tire, nor was He incapable.

  • "Balin" (بَلَىٰ): "Yes, indeed" – an emphatic affirmation used to confirm the truth of what was questioned.
  • "Qadir" (قَدِيرٌ): "All-Powerful" – the One whose power knows no bounds and to whom nothing is impossible.

Explanation of the Verse:

Have these deniers of the Resurrection not looked with their minds' eyes and realized that Allah — the One who created the heavens and the earth from nothing, with all their vastness, precision, and majesty — did not grow weary or incapable in their creation? The heavens stretch endlessly above, the earth spreads beneath with mountains, seas, and all that sustains life, and yet He brought them into existence with a single command. If He could originate this magnificent universe without fatigue or limitation, then how could He be unable to bring the dead back to life? The One who began creation from nothing is certainly able to repeat it — and indeed, repeating it is even easier for Him.

The verse answers this with a decisive "Yes, indeed!" — He is fully capable of resurrecting every human being from the dust of their graves, reassembling their bodies, and restoring their souls for the Day of Judgment. Nothing in the heavens or the earth, no matter how small or great, escapes His power. His might encompasses all things absolutely — creation, destruction, life, death, and resurrection — and no task, however immense it may seem to human minds, is beyond His reach.

A Call to Reflection and Faith:

Dear reader, pause and reflect on the world around you. Every sunrise and sunset, every breath you take, every cell in your body — all of it testifies to the boundless power of your Creator. The same Allah who hung the stars in their courses and set the oceans within their bounds is the One who promises to raise you from your grave. Can you doubt His promise when His creation stands before your eyes as living proof?

This verse is an invitation to strengthen your trust in Allah and to live with the certainty that your life does not end at death. The Resurrection is not a distant fantasy — it is a reality guaranteed by the very One who holds your existence in His hands. Let this knowledge fill your heart with hope and purpose: every good deed you do, every prayer you offer, every kindness you show is preserved with Him, and you will meet it on a Day when you stand before Him. So turn to your Lord with sincerity, for He who created you the first time is ever ready to bring you back — and His promise is true.

📜 Verse 31-35 — Al-Ahqaf

O our people, respond to the Messenger of Allah and believe in him; Allah will forgive for you your sins and protect you from a painful punishment.
But he who does not respond to the Caller of Allah will not cause failure [to Him] upon earth, and he will not have besides Him any protectors. Those are in manifest error."
Do they not see that Allah, who created the heavens and earth and did not fail in their creation, is able to give life to the dead? Yes. Indeed, He is over all things competent.
And the Day those who disbelieved are exposed to the Fire [it will be said], "Is this not the truth?" They will say, "Yes, by our Lord." He will say, "Then taste the punishment because you used to disbelieve."
So be patient, [O Muhammad], as were those of determination among the messengers and do not be impatient for them. It will be - on the Day they see that which they are promised - as though they had not remained [in the world] except an hour of a day. [This is] notification. And will [any] be destroyed except the defiantly disobedient people?
