Translation — Tafsir
Word Meanings:
- Malakut (مَلَكُوت): The absolute dominion, sovereignty, and supreme authority of Allah over all creation.
- Ajal (أَجَل): The appointed term or deadline of life; the time of death.
- Hadith (حَدِيث): Speech, message, or revelation; here it refers to the Quran.
Explanation of the Verse:
Have these people who reject the signs of Allah not looked with the eyes of reflection and contemplation at the magnificent dominion of Allah in the heavens and the earth? Have they not observed His absolute power and authority over all that exists — the sun, the moon, the stars, the mountains, the seas, the animals, the plants, and every single creature that fills this vast universe? Every part of this creation, no matter how small or great, points to its Creator and bears witness to His perfect wisdom and limitless power.
And have they not reflected upon their own lives and the fact that their appointed time may already be drawing near? Death does not announce its arrival; it comes suddenly, without warning. A person may be in the prime of youth, full of hopes and plans, and yet his final hour could be closer than he imagines. If they continue in their rejection and disbelief, they may perish upon that state and face the painful punishment of Allah.
So if they do not believe in this Quran — this glorious book that contains clear guidance, true promises, and sincere warnings — then what other message after it will they believe in? There is no book after the Quran, and no prophet after Muhammad (peace be upon him). This is the final revelation, the last call to humanity. If they turn away from it, there remains nothing else for them but loss and ruin.
A Call to Reflection and Faith:
Dear reader, pause for a moment and look around you. Look at the sky above, the earth beneath your feet, and the wonders of your own body. Every heartbeat, every breath you take, every sunrise and sunset — all of these are signs from your Lord, calling you to know Him and worship Him. The universe is an open book, and every page speaks of its Creator.
Do not delay your return to Allah. Do not wait until death knocks on your door, for when it comes, no repentance will be accepted and no second chance will be given. Today, the door of mercy is wide open. Allah invites you to come back to Him, to believe in His Book, and to follow His Messenger. This is the greatest opportunity you will ever have — seize it before it is too late.
The Quran is not merely a book to be read; it is a light that illuminates the path to eternal happiness. It is a healing for the hearts, a guide for the confused, and a mercy for all of humanity. Whoever holds fast to it will never be led astray, and whoever turns away from it will find no other source of true guidance. So let your heart respond to this divine call today, and you will find peace in this life and salvation in the next.
