Surah An-Naba — Verse 21

Allah Almighty declares that Hellfire has been made a place of ambush and watch. Just as a hunter sets a trap and waits patiently for the prey, Hell is ever-ready, ever-watchful, awaiting those who rejected the truth, disobeyed their Lord, and persisted in sin without repentance. It is a destination prepared with perfect justice, where every soul will be met with exactly what its deeds earned in this worldly life.

For the believers, this verse serves as a profound reminder of Allah’s justice and mercy. The fact that Hell is a "mirṣād" means that no one escapes accountability. But for those who turn to Allah in sincerity, who strive to obey Him and follow His Messenger ﷺ, this same Hell becomes a bridge they cross safely by His grace, entering instead into everlasting bliss.
