Surah Al-Mutaffifin — Verse 28

Tafsir (Explanation):

This verse describes a magnificent spring in Paradise called *Tasnīm* — a name derived from its lofty elevation, for it flows from the highest place in Paradise. It is a pure, unadulterated drink, reserved specifically for *al-Muqarrabūn* — those who have been drawn closest to Allah through their sincere devotion, deep knowledge, and unwavering obedience. They drink from it directly, in its purest form, savoring its exquisite taste and fragrance.

For the rest of the believers, this same spring is mixed into their drinks — blended with fine wine, milk, and honey — so that all inhabitants of Paradise enjoy its blessings, though the *Muqarrabūn* receive it undiluted as a special honor. This distinction reflects their elevated rank and the unique reward for their extraordinary closeness to their Lord.

This verse inspires us to strive for that noble station — to be among those who are *muqarrabūn* — by purifying our hearts, deepening our connection with Allah, and living lives of sincerity and excellence.
