Surah Ibrahim — Verse 46

Tafsir (Explanation):

This verse addresses the scheming of the disbelievers, particularly the Quraysh, who plotted intensely to kill the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and to extinguish the light of his call. They devised their plans with great effort, thinking they could undermine the truth and destroy the mission of Islam. Yet, Allah tells us that their entire scheme is fully known to Him — nothing escapes His knowledge, and every detail of their plotting is recorded with Him, awaiting the perfect justice He will deliver.

The verse then makes a striking comparison: their plot, no matter how elaborate or determined, is inherently weak and futile. It is not the kind of scheme that could move mountains — let alone uproot the firm foundations of Allah’s religion. The "mountains" here symbolize the unshakable truths of divine revelation, the steadfast hearts of the believers, and the eternal laws of Allah that no human cunning can overturn. Their deception was never a threat to Allah’s plan; rather, it only harmed themselves, as their schemes backfired and brought ruin upon their own heads.

This verse carries a profound lesson for every believer: no matter how powerful or cunning the enemies of truth may appear, their plots are feeble before the might of Allah. The religion of Allah stands firm like mountains, unmoved by the whispers of schemers. So place your trust in Allah, for He is the Best of Planners, and His promise of victory for His righteous servants is certain. Let this fill your heart with tranquility and hope — the schemes of the wicked are but bubbles on the surface of the sea, while the truth of Allah remains deep and unshaken.
