Tafsir (Explanation):
Allah, in His infinite wisdom and mercy, declares that He has indeed presented and diversified in this magnificent Quran, for the benefit of all mankind, every kind of parable, example, and lesson. He has repeated and varied these examples in different forms and styles—sometimes through stories of past nations, sometimes through descriptions of Paradise and Hell, sometimes through parables of nature and creation—all so that people may reflect, take heed, and turn to their Lord. The Quran addresses every human need, every spiritual ailment, and every moral question, offering guidance in ways that resonate with different minds and hearts.
Yet, despite this overwhelming clarity and the countless proofs and lessons spread throughout the Quran, the human being—especially the disbeliever who rejects the truth—is the most argumentative of all creatures. No other creation engages in such persistent and stubborn disputation as man does. When truth is presented to him, he argues; when a sign is shown to him, he questions; when wisdom is offered, he disputes without justification. This is not merely an observation but a profound reminder of the human tendency toward pride and stubbornness.
Dear reader, reflect on this verse deeply. The Quran was sent as a mercy and a guide, filled with examples that speak to your very soul. It does not demand blind acceptance; rather, it invites you to ponder, to reason, and to see the truth with an open heart. But beware of the trait of endless argumentation that distances you from guidance. When you encounter a verse or a lesson, let it soften your heart rather than provoke your ego. The one who benefits most from the Quran is the one who approaches it with humility, seeking light and direction, not the one who approaches it with the intention to dispute and challenge. Let the parables of the Quran be a mirror for your soul, a source of healing, and a path to eternal success. For Allah has left no excuse—He has made the truth clear, and it is only the argumentative heart that turns away from it.
