Surah Maryam — Verse 70

Explanation of the Verse:

After mentioning the fate of those who disbelieve and reject the truth, Allah follows with this decisive statement: *"Then surely it is We who know best those who are most deserving of burning in it."*

This means that Allah, in His perfect knowledge and absolute justice, knows exactly who among His creation deserves to enter Hellfire and suffer its scorching torment. No one can escape His knowledge, and no one can deceive Him. He knows the hearts, the intentions, and the deeds of every soul. Those who are most deserving are the persistent disbelievers and the obstinate wrongdoers who rejected the messengers and opposed the truth with arrogance and defiance. Their punishment is not a matter of chance or injustice—it is the precise outcome of their own choices, fully known to Allah from the beginning.

This verse serves as a profound reminder that Allah's judgment is never flawed. He does not punish anyone unjustly, nor does He overlook the deserving. His knowledge encompasses everything, and His wisdom dictates that each soul receives exactly what it has earned.
