Translation Transliteration — An-Naml

وَيَوْمَ نَحْشُرُ مِن كُلِّ أُمَّةٍ فَوْجًا مِّمَّن يُكَذِّبُ بِآيَاتِنَا فَهُمْ يُوزَعُونَ ۝٨٣

Translation — Tafsir

Word Meanings:

Nahshuru: We gather/assemble.
Fawjan: A group or crowd.
Yukadhdhibu: Those who deny or reject.
Ayatina: Our signs, proofs, and revelations.
Yuz'awn: They are restrained/held back; the first of them is held back for the last so that they all gather together, then they are driven.

Tafsir (Explanation):

O Messenger, remind the people of that awesome Day when We shall gather from every nation a crowd of its leaders and chiefs — those who denied Our signs, revelations, and proofs. From the time of Adam's descendants until the end of time, no era has been without those who rejected the truth. On that Day, We shall single out the ringleaders of disbelief from each community, and they shall be restrained — the first of them held back for the last, and the last joined with the first — so that they all assemble together in one place, unable to move forward or escape. Then they shall be driven forcibly to the Reckoning and, ultimately, to the Fire.

This verse carries a profound warning: no nation, no generation, no matter how powerful or advanced, will escape the gathering. The leaders of falsehood who misled their followers will be brought forth as a distinct group, publicly exposed before all of creation. Their denial of Allah's signs — whether in the Quran, in the natural universe, or in their own souls — will be confronted with undeniable reality on that Day.

A Da'wah Reflection:

Dear reader, pause and reflect: every nation that rejected the truth had its leaders who paved the way to destruction. Today, you are living in an era where countless voices call people away from Allah — through materialism, skepticism, or empty distractions. Do not let yourself be counted among those who follow such voices blindly. The Quran is Allah's living sign to you right now, calling you to salvation. Open your heart to it, for on that Day, when the deniers are gathered in humiliation, the believers will be gathered in honor and mercy. Choose now which gathering you wish to belong to — the gathering of the guided or the gathering of the misguided. The choice is yours, and the time is now.

📜 Verse 81-85 — An-Naml

81وَمَا أَنتَ بِهَادِي الْعُمْيِ عَن ضَلَالَتِهِمْ ۖ إِن تُسْمِعُ إِلَّا مَن يُؤْمِنُ بِآيَاتِنَا فَهُم مُّسْلِمُونَ

And you cannot guide the blind away from their error. You will only make hear those who believe in Our verses so they are Muslims [submitting to Allah].

82۞ وَإِذَا وَقَعَ الْقَوْلُ عَلَيْهِمْ أَخْرَجْنَا لَهُمْ دَابَّةً مِّنَ الْأَرْضِ تُكَلِّمُهُمْ أَنَّ النَّاسَ كَانُوا بِآيَاتِنَا لَا يُوقِنُونَ

And when the word befalls them, We will bring forth for them a creature from the earth speaking to them, [saying] that the people were, of Our verses, not certain [in faith].

83وَيَوْمَ نَحْشُرُ مِن كُلِّ أُمَّةٍ فَوْجًا مِّمَّن يُكَذِّبُ بِآيَاتِنَا فَهُمْ يُوزَعُونَ

And [warn of] the Day when We will gather from every nation a company of those who deny Our signs, and they will be [driven] in rows

84حَتَّىٰ إِذَا جَاءُوا قَالَ أَكَذَّبْتُم بِآيَاتِي وَلَمْ تُحِيطُوا بِهَا عِلْمًا أَمَّاذَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ

Until, when they arrive [at the place of Judgement], He will say, "Did you deny My signs while you encompassed them not in knowledge, or what [was it that] you were doing?"

85وَوَقَعَ الْقَوْلُ عَلَيْهِم بِمَا ظَلَمُوا فَهُمْ لَا يَنطِقُونَ

And the decree will befall them for the wrong they did, and they will not [be able to] speak.
