Translation — Tafsir

Meanings of Key Words:

He originates creation, bringing it into existence from nothing for the first time.
He restores it, bringing it back to life after death and annihilation.
Easy, effortless, requiring no hardship or difficulty.

Explanation of the Verse:

Have these deniers not looked with their hearts and reflected with their minds upon the undeniable signs around them? How does Allah originate creation from nothing, then cause it to perish, and then restore it anew on the Day of Resurrection? He creates the human being in stages — from a drop of fluid, then a clinging clot, then a lump of flesh, until it becomes a fully formed person — and then He causes him to die, and He will bring him back to life once more. This is not difficult for Allah in the least; it is as easy for Him as the first creation was. The One who has power over the beginning surely has power over the return, for His command is but "Be," and it is.

A Call to Reflection and Faith:

O beloved reader, open your eyes to the wonders of creation that surround you — the heavens, the earth, your own self, the cycle of life and death in every season. Every spring that follows a barren winter is a living proof of the resurrection. If Allah can bring forth life from a dead earth, can He not bring you forth from your grave? Indeed, this is a gentle reminder from your Lord: the One who created you from nothing will not find it hard to recreate you. So do not let doubt creep into your heart, for the power of Allah knows no limits. Let this certainty fill you with hope and peace, and let it draw you closer to the One who holds your beginning and your end in His hands. Submit to Him with a sincere heart, and you will find that the journey from this life to the next is but a return to the Most Merciful, who has prepared for His believing servants what no eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no human heart has ever imagined.

📜 Verse 17-21 — Al-'Ankabut

You only worship, besides Allah, idols, and you produce a falsehood. Indeed, those you worship besides Allah do not possess for you [the power of] provision. So seek from Allah provision and worship Him and be grateful to Him. To Him you will be returned."
And if you [people] deny [the message] - already nations before you have denied. And there is not upon the Messenger except [the duty of] clear notification.
Have they not considered how Allah begins creation and then repeats it? Indeed that, for Allah, is easy.
Say, [O Muhammad], "Travel through the land and observe how He began creation. Then Allah will produce the final creation. Indeed Allah, over all things, is competent."
He punishes whom He wills and has mercy upon whom He wills, and to Him you will be returned.
