Explanation of the Verse:
O people, your creation from nothing and your resurrection after death—despite your vast numbers and the countless generations that have come and gone—is no more difficult for Allah than the creation and resurrection of a single soul. Just as He creates one person with ease, He creates all of you with equal ease. And just as He resurrects one person, He resurrects all of you. There is no difference for Him between the one and the many, for His power knows no limits and His command is but a single word: "Be," and it is.
This verse was revealed as a direct response to those who denied the resurrection, thinking it impossible that Allah could bring back to life bodies that had turned to dust and bones. Allah clarifies that this is not only possible but utterly simple for Him. The One who created the heavens and the earth, the sun and the moon, the stars and the seas—how could He struggle to recreate what He already created once before?
Then Allah concludes with two of His beautiful attributes: He is All-Hearing and All-Seeing. He hears every word you utter—whether it is a whisper of faith or a murmur of denial—and He sees every deed you perform, whether open or hidden. Nothing escapes His knowledge, and He will reward or punish each soul according to what it has earned.
A Call to Reflection:
Dear reader, ponder this profound truth: the Creator who fashioned you from a drop of fluid, who gave you eyes that see and ears that hear, who sustains you every moment of your life—can He not bring you back after death? Indeed, His power is absolute, and His wisdom is perfect. The resurrection is not a burden for Him; it is a promise He has made, and He never breaks His promises.
Let this verse fill your heart with hope and awe. Hope, because the same power that created you will resurrect you to a life of eternal bliss if you believe and do good. Awe, because He hears and sees everything—so let your words be truthful and your deeds be righteous. The Day will surely come when every soul stands before its Lord, and on that Day, you will know with certainty that nothing was created in vain.
