Tafsir (Explanation):
This verse unveils the magnificent stages of human creation, inviting you to reflect on the divine craftsmanship that shapes your very existence. It is Allah — and He alone — who initiated your journey from dust, the humble substance from which your father Adam was formed. From that dust, He brought forth your lineage through a drop of fluid, which then transformed into a clinging clot, and then into a developing embryo within the wombs of your mothers.
Then, by His infinite mercy, He brings you forth as a helpless infant, crying into this world. He sustains you through childhood, granting you growth and development until you reach the peak of your strength — the prime of adulthood when your body and mind are fully matured. Then, He guides you through the gradual decline into old age, when your hair whitens and your strength wanes. Yet, among you are those who are taken in death before reaching these later stages — a reminder that life's duration is entirely in His hands.
All of this unfolds according to a precisely appointed term, a lifespan decreed by Allah's perfect wisdom. No one can hasten it or delay it. The purpose of these successive stages is not merely biological — it is a profound sign calling you to use your intellect. When you observe this miraculous progression from dust to a complete human being, your mind should naturally conclude that this cannot be the work of random chance. It is the work of the One Who creates, sustains, and controls all things — and He alone deserves your worship.
So, dear reader, pause and ponder: the very stages of your life — from your weakest beginnings to your strongest years and your eventual decline — are living proofs of Allah's power and His exclusive right to be worshipped. Let this reflection awaken your heart to the truth of Tawhid (the Oneness of Allah), and let it draw you closer to the One Who fashioned you with perfect wisdom and cares for you at every stage of your journey. Indeed, the One Who created you from nothing is more than capable of bringing you back to life after death — so prepare for that meeting with faith and righteous deeds.
