Surah Ad-Dukhan — Verse 57

Explanation of the Verse:

This verse continues to describe the blessings that the righteous will enjoy in Paradise. After mentioning that they will not taste death again—having already tasted it once in the worldly life—and that Allah has protected them from the torment of Hellfire, the verse clarifies that all of this is a grace and favor from your Lord, O Messenger. It is not something they earned by their deeds alone, but rather a generous gift from Allah’s boundless mercy and kindness.

The verse then concludes: "That is the great triumph." This refers to everything mentioned—entering Paradise, being saved from Hell, and receiving Allah’s pleasure—which is the ultimate success that no worldly achievement can match. It is a victory so magnificent that no other joy or accomplishment can compare to it, for it encompasses eternal bliss, peace, and closeness to Allah.

Daʿwah (Invitation to Faith):

Dear reader, reflect on this profound truth: Allah, the Most Merciful, does not merely reward His righteous servants—He showers them with His grace, giving them more than they could ever deserve. This is the essence of His love for those who believe and do good. The "great triumph" is not limited to the Hereafter; it begins in this life when a heart finds peace in submission to Allah, and it culminates in the eternal gardens where every wish is fulfilled.

So, strive for this triumph! Let your heart yearn for it, and let your actions be guided by the Qur’an and the Sunnah. For the One who promises this reward is the One who never breaks His promise. And what could be greater than being among those whom Allah shields from the Fire and welcomes into His eternal mercy? This is the success that deserves every effort, every sacrifice, and every step of patience on the path of faith. May Allah make us among those who attain it.
