Surah Al-Waqi'ah — Verse 10

The forerunners are those who race toward faith and righteous deeds in this worldly life, outpacing others in their devotion, charity, prayer, and obedience to Allah. They are the ones who respond to the call of truth without hesitation, who strive to be first in every act of goodness, and who lead others by their example.

Their reward is that they will be the forerunners in the Hereafter—the first to enter Paradise, the first to attain the highest ranks of honor and closeness to Allah. They are the companions of the right hand, but elevated above them, they are the "Muqarrabun" (those brought near to Allah). Theirs is the ultimate success: to be admitted into the Gardens of Delight, where they will dwell eternally in the presence of their Lord's mercy and favor.

This verse inspires every believer to reflect: What am I racing toward? Am I among those who hasten to good deeds, or am I lagging behind?
