Surah At-Takwir — Verse 6

Tafsir (Explanation):

On the Day of Judgment, the vast oceans—those immense bodies of water that cover most of the earth’s surface and upon which countless creatures depend—will undergo a terrifying transformation. They will be set ablaze and turned into a raging, roaring fire. This is not a mere metaphor; it is a literal reality that will occur by the command of Allah, the Almighty. The very element that is the source of life and sustenance in this world will become a source of scorching heat and destruction in the Hereafter. This dramatic change serves as a powerful reminder that the world as we know it is temporary and will be completely overturned. Nothing will remain as it was; every natural phenomenon we rely on will be disrupted, and all creation will submit to the absolute will of its Creator.
