Tafsir (Explanation):
This noble verse shines a light on the path to eternal success. Allah, the Most Merciful, declares that whoever genuinely desires the everlasting bliss of the Hereafter — not merely with lip service, but with a heart certain of its truth — and then backs that desire with action, striving in obedience to Allah through acts of worship, kindness, and righteousness, all while maintaining sincere faith in Allah and His messengers — such people are the ones whose efforts are not wasted. Their striving is "mashkūran," meaning it is accepted, appreciated, and richly rewarded by their Lord.
The verse beautifully links three essential elements: true intention (wanting the Hereafter), proper action (striving as it deserves, free from show and hypocrisy), and sound faith (being a believer). When these three come together, Allah’s promise is certain: no effort will be lost, no deed will be forgotten, and every good step will be met with His boundless grace and generosity.
Daʿwah Reflection:
Dear reader, this verse is a divine invitation to elevate your goals beyond the fleeting pleasures of this world. It tells you that your efforts — however small they may seem — are never in vain when they are done for Allah with a believing heart. Imagine the joy of knowing that your Lord Himself acknowledges your work and stores it for you as a treasure in the Hereafter! So let your intention be pure, your deeds be sincere, and your faith be firm. The door of divine acceptance is wide open — step through it with hope and determination, for Allah never breaks His promise to those who strive for Him.
