They will realise, with absolute certainty, that there is no escape from the punishment of Allah, no intercessor to save them, and no second chance to make amends. Their hearts will sink as they see the reality of what they denied, and their tongues will be silenced — for every excuse, every argument, and every justification they once clung to in this worldly life will crumble into nothing. They will stand in utter bewilderment, their hopes in any mercy completely severed, because the evidence against them is conclusive and their deeds have sealed their fate.

This verse serves as a powerful and urgent reminder for every soul before that Day arrives. It calls upon us to reflect: the despair of that moment is not like any sorrow we have known in this world — it is a hopelessness that crushes the spirit, a regret that burns with no relief. But the door of mercy is still wide open for us today. While we breathe, while our hearts beat, and while the sun rises and sets, Allah invites us to turn back to Him. Do not wait until the Hour is upon you to seek His forgiveness, for on that Day, the criminals will find no path to salvation.
