Surah Luqman — Verse 4

Tafsir (Explanation):

After mentioning that the Quran is a guidance and a mercy for the doers of good, Allah describes who these doers of good truly are. They are the ones who establish the prayer — not merely performing it as a ritual, but upholding it with full devotion, humility, and consistency at its appointed times. They purify their souls and their wealth by giving the obligatory Zakah to those who deserve it, recognizing that their wealth is a trust from Allah and that others have a right in it.

Furthermore, they possess a deep and unshakable certainty in the Hereafter — in the resurrection, the reckoning, the reward, and the punishment. This certainty is not a blind belief but a firm conviction that shapes their entire lives. Because they are certain of the Day of Judgment, they act with sincerity, avoid sin, and hasten to good deeds.
