Word Meanings:

  • آمِنُوا (in the second instance): Continue upon and remain steadfast in faith.
The Qur'an revealed to Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
All the holy scriptures revealed to previous prophets (the Torah, Gospel, Psalms, etc.).
To stray far from the path of truth and guidance.

Explanation of the Verse:

O you who have believed — those who have already accepted the truth of Allah and His Messenger and strive to live by His commandments — continue to remain firm and steadfast in your faith. Believe with certainty in Allah, in His Messenger Muhammad (peace be upon him), in the Qur'an which He revealed to him, and in all the scriptures that Allah sent down to the prophets before him. This is a call to deepen your conviction and to never waver in your commitment to the divine message.

The verse then delivers a profound warning: whoever denies Allah, His honored angels, His revealed books, His chosen messengers, or the Last Day — the Day when all people will be raised from their graves to be held accountable for their deeds — has indeed fallen into a grave and far-reaching misguidance. Such a person has departed from the religion entirely and has wandered far away from the straight path that leads to Allah's pleasure and eternal success.

This verse reminds us that true faith is not a one-time declaration but a continuous state of the heart and soul. It requires perseverance, constant renewal of intention, and unwavering belief in all the pillars of faith. The believer who holds fast to these principles is upon clear guidance, while the one who rejects any of them has lost the very foundation of salvation.

A Call to Reflection and Action:

Dear believer, this verse is a beautiful invitation to strengthen your relationship with your Lord. It reminds you that faith is a journey, not a destination — a light that must be nurtured daily through remembrance, obedience, and sincere devotion. When you affirm your belief in Allah, His angels, His books, His messengers, and the Last Day, you connect yourself to a chain of divine guidance that spans all of human history. You become part of the blessed community of believers who have placed their trust in the One who never fails.

Let this verse inspire you to renew your faith every single day. Ask yourself: How can I strengthen my certainty in Allah? How can I show more love and respect for His Messenger? How can I live with the awareness that the Last Day is real and near? When faith fills your heart, it transforms your actions, purifies your intentions, and brings peace to your soul. The one who believes deeply finds tranquility in obedience and shuns that which displeases the Almighty.

And know, with absolute certainty, that the path of faith leads to eternal bliss, while the path of denial leads only to loss and regret. Choose today to be among those who believe firmly, act righteously, and look forward to the mercy of their Lord. For Allah is the Most Merciful, the Most Loving, and He has prepared for His believing servants what no eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no human heart can imagine.

📜 Verse 134-138 — An-Nisa

Whoever desires the reward of this world - then with Allah is the reward of this world and the Hereafter. And ever is Allah Hearing and Seeing.
O you who have believed, be persistently standing firm in justice, witnesses for Allah, even if it be against yourselves or parents and relatives. Whether one is rich or poor, Allah is more worthy of both. So follow not [personal] inclination, lest you not be just. And if you distort [your testimony] or refuse [to give it], then indeed Allah is ever, with what you do, Acquainted.
O you who have believed, believe in Allah and His Messenger and the Book that He sent down upon His Messenger and the Scripture which He sent down before. And whoever disbelieves in Allah, His angels, His books, His messengers, and the Last Day has certainly gone far astray.
Indeed, those who have believed then disbelieved, then believed, then disbelieved, and then increased in disbelief - never will Allah forgive them, nor will He guide them to a way.
Give tidings to the hypocrites that there is for them a painful punishment -
