Translation Transliteration — Al-Jathiyah

وَلِلَّهِ مُلْكُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ ۚ وَيَوْمَ تَقُومُ السَّاعَةُ يَوْمَئِذٍ يَخْسَرُ الْمُبْطِلُونَ ۝٢٧

Wa lillaahi mulkus samaawaati wal ard; wa Yawma taqoomus Saa`atu Yawma `iziny yakhsarul mubtiloon

Translation — Tafsir

Word Meanings:

Al-Mubtilūn (الْمُبْطِلُونَ): Those who follow falsehood, reject the truth, and strive to nullify it—the people of vanity and falsehood.

Explanation of the Verse:

To Allah alone belongs the absolute sovereignty and dominion over the heavens and the earth—His is the creation, the ownership, and the right to be worshipped. No one else has any share in this dominion, and no deity is worthy of worship besides Him.

Then comes the mention of the Day of Resurrection, when the Hour will rise and the dead will be brought forth from their graves for reckoning and recompense. On that Day, the people of falsehood—those who disbelieved in Allah, denied His signs and clear proofs, worshipped others besides Him, and strove to suppress the truth and spread falsehood—will suffer utter loss. Their loss will become manifest and complete, as they will find all their efforts wasted and their hopes shattered, with no refuge and no savior.

A Call to Reflection and Faith:

Dear reader, pause and reflect on this profound truth: the heavens and the earth, with all their vastness and perfection, belong to Allah alone. He created them, sustains them, and governs them. So why would you turn to anyone else? Why would you place your hope in created beings who own nothing—not even the smallest atom—while the King of all kings is calling you to Him?

And know with certainty that this life is not the end. There is a Day when the Hour will rise, and on that Day, every soul will see the outcome of its deeds. The losers on that Day are not those who lost wealth or status, but those who lost themselves and their eternal happiness by rejecting the truth in this world.

Do not be among them! Open your heart to the message of the Qur'an, submit to your Lord, and worship Him alone. For whoever clings to the truth in this life will be among the winners in the Hereafter, while whoever follows falsehood will taste the bitterness of loss when nothing can be undone. Choose today, before that Day comes when no excuse will avail, and no return will be possible.

📜 Verse 25-29 — Al-Jathiyah

25وَإِذَا تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْهِمْ آيَاتُنَا بَيِّنَاتٍ مَّا كَانَ حُجَّتَهُمْ إِلَّا أَن قَالُوا ائْتُوا بِآبَائِنَا إِن كُنتُمْ صَادِقِينَ

And when Our verses are recited to them as clear evidences, their argument is only that they say, "Bring [back] our forefathers, if you should be truthful."

26قُلِ اللَّهُ يُحْيِيكُمْ ثُمَّ يُمِيتُكُمْ ثُمَّ يَجْمَعُكُمْ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ لَا رَيْبَ فِيهِ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ النَّاسِ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ

Say, "Allah causes you to live, then causes you to die; then He will assemble you for the Day of Resurrection, about which there is no doubt, but most of the people do not know."

27وَلِلَّهِ مُلْكُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ ۚ وَيَوْمَ تَقُومُ السَّاعَةُ يَوْمَئِذٍ يَخْسَرُ الْمُبْطِلُونَ

And to Allah belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. And the Day the Hour appears - that Day the falsifiers will lose.

28وَتَرَىٰ كُلَّ أُمَّةٍ جَاثِيَةً ۚ كُلُّ أُمَّةٍ تُدْعَىٰ إِلَىٰ كِتَابِهَا الْيَوْمَ تُجْزَوْنَ مَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ

And you will see every nation kneeling [from fear]. Every nation will be called to its record [and told], "Today you will be recompensed for what you used to do.

29هَٰذَا كِتَابُنَا يَنطِقُ عَلَيْكُم بِالْحَقِّ ۚ إِنَّا كُنَّا نَسْتَنسِخُ مَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ

This, Our record, speaks about you in truth. Indeed, We were having transcribed whatever you used to do."
