Surah Al-Muzzammil — Verse 14

Tafsir (Explanation):

On that Day, the earth and the mountains will shake and tremble with a violent, terrifying motion that shatters all stability. The mountains—those colossal, solid, and unyielding structures that seemed eternal—will be reduced to heaps of loose, flowing sand that pours and slips away like dunes scattered by the wind. What was once firm and immovable will become soft and unstable, unable to bear any weight or provide any refuge. This transformation is not merely physical but a profound sign of the absolute power of Allah, before Whom all creation, no matter how mighty, is utterly fragile and submissive.

This verse paints a vivid picture of the Day of Judgment, when the world as we know it will be undone. The earth, which we walk upon with confidence, will convulse; the mountains, which we admire for their strength, will crumble into dust-like sand. It is a reminder that no power, no fortress, and no stronghold can protect anyone from the decree of Allah on that Day.
