Surah Yunus — Verse 103

Explanation of the Verse:

In this noble verse, Allah Almighty informs us of His divine way (Sunnah) that has always been and will always be: when His punishment descends upon a disbelieving people, He saves His Messengers and those who believed in them. They are spared from the destruction that befalls their nations, as happened with Prophet Nuh (Noah), Prophet Hud, Prophet Salih, Prophet Lut (Lot), and others — peace be upon them all. Their people were destroyed while the believers were rescued.

Then Allah makes a powerful promise to His Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) and to all believers: just as He saved the previous Messengers and their followers, He will certainly save His Messenger Muhammad and the believers who follow him. This is not merely a hope or a possibility — it is an established truth and an obligation that Allah has placed upon Himself out of His grace, mercy, and justice. The word "Haqqan" (as a truth) emphasizes that this is a firm, unbreakable promise from Allah, and Allah never breaks His promises.

A Call to Faith and Reflection:

Dear reader, reflect on this beautiful divine guarantee! Allah has made it His own obligation to save the believers. This means that no matter how difficult the circumstances may seem, no matter how powerful the enemies of truth appear, the believer is never alone. Allah is with him, and victory and salvation are ultimately for the people of faith.

This verse fills the heart of every believer with tranquility and hope. It teaches us that faith in Allah is the greatest shield against all harm. When you truly believe in Allah and follow His Messenger, you are under Allah's special protection. The storms of life may rage, the waves of trials may rise, but the ship of faith always reaches the shore of safety.

So hold fast to your faith, dear Muslim. Be among those who believe and do righteous deeds. For Allah has promised — and His promise is true — that He will save the believers.
