  • Yarzuqukum (يَرْزُقُكُم): Provides for you, sustains you with provisions.
  • Min al-sama' (مِنَ السَّمَاءِ): From the sky/heaven — referring to rain and what descends from above.
  • Wa al-ard (وَالْأَرْضِ): And from the earth — referring to plants, crops, and treasures it brings forth.
  • Yamliku al-sam'a wal-absar (يَمْلِكُ السَّمْعَ وَالْأَبْصَارَ): Owns and controls hearing and sight — the faculties of perception.
  • Yukhriju al-hayya min al-mayyit (يُخْرِجُ الْحَيَّ مِنَ الْمَيِّتِ): Brings forth the living from the dead — e.g., a human from a drop of fluid, a bird from an egg.
  • Yukhriju al-mayyita min al-hayy (يُخْرِجُ الْمَيِّتَ مِنَ الْحَيِّ): Brings forth the dead from the living — e.g., a drop of fluid from a living being, an egg from a bird.

  • Afala tattaqun (أَفَلَا تَتَّقُونَ): So will you not fear Allah and be mindful of Him?

Explanation of the Verse:

O Messenger, ask these polytheists who associate partners with Allah: Who is it that provides for you from the sky — sending down rain that revives the earth — and from the earth — bringing forth fruits, grains, and vegetation from which you and your cattle eat? Who is it that owns your very senses of hearing and sight, giving you the ability to perceive the world, and could take them away in an instant if He willed? Who is it that brings forth the living from the dead — like a human being from a drop of fluid, or a bird from an egg — and who brings forth the dead from the living — like a drop of fluid from a living creature, or an egg from a bird? And who is it that manages and governs every affair in the heavens and the earth, from the rising of the sun to the falling of rain, from the beating of your hearts to the movement of the stars?

These people, despite their stubbornness, will inevitably answer: "It is Allah." They know this in their hearts, for they cannot deny it. So when they admit that Allah alone is the Creator, the Provider, and the Manager of all things, say to them: "Then will you not fear Him? Will you not be mindful of His commands and avoid His prohibitions? Will you worship others alongside the One who does all of this?"

This is a profound call to reflection — a gentle yet powerful reminder that the very existence of life, provision, and order points to one undeniable truth: Allah alone deserves your worship, your obedience, and your love. The One who sustains you every moment, who gave you ears to hear and eyes to see, who orchestrates the miracle of life and death — how could you turn away from Him and bow to idols or false gods? How could you not stand in awe of His majesty and fear His punishment?

Dear reader, let this verse awaken your heart. Every bite of food you eat, every breath you take, every sight you see — it is all from Allah, the Most Merciful, the Most Gracious. He has given you everything, and He asks only that you worship Him alone and live a life of righteousness. So open your eyes to His countless blessings, and let your heart overflow with gratitude and devotion. Indeed, the One who provides for you from the sky and the earth is the same One who will hold you accountable — so turn to Him before it is too late, and taste the sweetness of a life lived in submission to your Lord.

📜 Verse 29-33 — Yunus

And sufficient is Allah as a witness between us and you that we were of your worship unaware."
There, [on that Day], every soul will be put to trial for what it did previously, and they will be returned to Allah, their master, the Truth, and lost from them is whatever they used to invent.
Say, "Who provides for you from the heaven and the earth? Or who controls hearing and sight and who brings the living out of the dead and brings the dead out of the living and who arranges [every] matter?" They will say, "Allah," so say, "Then will you not fear Him?"
For that is Allah, your Lord, the Truth. And what can be beyond truth except error? So how are you averted?
Thus the word of your Lord has come into effect upon those who defiantly disobeyed - that they will not believe.
