Nothing remains but pure, untainted love.

They are then described as "brothers" — not merely friends or companions, but true siblings in faith, united in affection and harmony. They recline together on magnificent, adorned couches, "facing one another" — their faces turned toward each other in a posture of intimacy, respect, and joy.
