Surah An-Nahl — Verse 121

Explanation of the Verse:

This verse completes a beautiful description of Prophet Ibrahim (peace be upon him), the beloved friend of Allah. Allah did not leave him to wander in confusion; rather, He guided him to the clear and upright religion—Islam, the religion of pure monotheism (Tawhid), which is the essence of all prophetic teachings.

This verse teaches us a profound lesson: gratitude is a key to divine guidance and elevation. When we thank Allah for His blessings, He increases us in goodness and draws us closer to Him. Ibrahim's gratitude was a reason for his selection and guidance. Likewise, if we strive to be grateful servants, Allah will choose us for His care, guide our hearts, and lead us to success in this life and the Hereafter.
