Tafsir (Explanation):
O noble Messenger, and through you, O believer who carries the call of truth — be patient. But know with certainty that your patience is not a product of your own strength or willpower alone; rather, it is a gift and a grace from Allah. He is the One who grants you the ability to endure, who steadies your heart when trials mount, and who pours into your soul the calm that defies human limits. So when you feel your resolve weakening, turn to Him — for He is the Source of all steadfastness.
And do not let grief overtake your heart for those who turn away from the message, who reject the truth despite its clarity. Their rejection is not a failure on your part; you have delivered what was entrusted to you. Their choice is theirs alone, and their account is with their Lord. So release the burden of their disbelief from your shoulders.
Nor should you feel your chest tighten because of their schemes and plots against you. Their cunning, their whispers, their attempts to undermine your mission — all of it is contained within Allah’s knowledge and power. Their plots will only recoil upon themselves, bringing them harm and ruin, while you remain protected under His watchful care.
This verse is a divine prescription for every caller to truth, every believer facing opposition. It teaches us that patience is not passive resignation — it is an active, Allah-fueled endurance. It teaches us to detach our peace from the reactions of others, and to place our trust entirely in the One whose plan never fails.
So, dear believer, when the road grows long and the enemies multiply, remember: your patience is by Allah, your comfort is in Allah, and your victory is from Allah. Let your heart find rest in Him, and let your hope remain alive — for the promise of Allah is true, and His help is near.
