Translation Transliteration — Al-Anbiya

وَالَّتِي أَحْصَنَتْ فَرْجَهَا فَنَفَخْنَا فِيهَا مِن رُّوحِنَا وَجَعَلْنَاهَا وَابْنَهَا آيَةً لِّلْعَالَمِينَ ۝٩١

Wallateee ahsanat farjahaa fanafakhnaa feehaa mir roohinaa wa ja`alnaahaa wabnahaaa Aayatal lil`aalameen

Translation — Tafsir

Word Meanings:

Aḥṣanat farjahā: She guarded her chastity and protected herself from anything unlawful.
Nafakhnā fīhā min rūḥinā: We caused the spirit of Jesus (peace be upon him) to enter her through the angel Gabriel, by Our command.
Āyah lil-‘ālamīn: A sign and a lesson for all of creation, demonstrating the boundless power of Allah.

Tafsir (Explanation):

O noble Messenger, recall and present to your people the story of Maryam, the daughter of ‘Imrān, who is an eternal example of purity and devotion. She safeguarded her chastity with complete dedication, never approaching anything forbidden, and remained steadfast in her obedience to Allah. In response to her sincerity and righteousness, Allah sent the angel Gabriel (peace be upon him), who breathed into the opening of her garment, and by that breath, the spirit of Jesus (peace be upon him) was conveyed to her womb. Thus, she conceived Jesus by the will of Allah, without any human father—a miracle that defies the natural laws known to mankind. Allah made Maryam and her son Jesus a profound sign for all the worlds: a living proof of His absolute power, who creates whatever He wills and says to a thing, "Be," and it is. This event is not merely a historical account; it is a call to reflect on the greatness of the Creator, who is capable of all things, and a reminder that His wisdom surpasses human understanding. For every believer, this story strengthens faith, inspires hope in Allah’s mercy, and affirms that nothing is impossible for Him—so turn to Him with trust and sincerity, for He is the Most Powerful, the Most Wise.

📜 Verse 89-93 — Al-Anbiya

89وَزَكَرِيَّا إِذْ نَادَىٰ رَبَّهُ رَبِّ لَا تَذَرْنِي فَرْدًا وَأَنتَ خَيْرُ الْوَارِثِينَ

And [mention] Zechariah, when he called to his Lord, "My Lord, do not leave me alone [with no heir], while you are the best of inheritors."

90فَاسْتَجَبْنَا لَهُ وَوَهَبْنَا لَهُ يَحْيَىٰ وَأَصْلَحْنَا لَهُ زَوْجَهُ ۚ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا يُسَارِعُونَ فِي الْخَيْرَاتِ وَيَدْعُونَنَا رَغَبًا وَرَهَبًا ۖ وَكَانُوا لَنَا خَاشِعِينَ

So We responded to him, and We gave to him John, and amended for him his wife. Indeed, they used to hasten to good deeds and supplicate Us in hope and fear, and they were to Us humbly submissive.

And [mention] the one who guarded her chastity, so We blew into her [garment] through Our angel [Gabriel], and We made her and her son a sign for the worlds.

92إِنَّ هَٰذِهِ أُمَّتُكُمْ أُمَّةً وَاحِدَةً وَأَنَا رَبُّكُمْ فَاعْبُدُونِ

Indeed this, your religion, is one religion, and I am your Lord, so worship Me.

93وَتَقَطَّعُوا أَمْرَهُم بَيْنَهُمْ ۖ كُلٌّ إِلَيْنَا رَاجِعُونَ

And [yet] they divided their affair among themselves, [but] all to Us will return.
