Surah Al-Hajj — Verse 43

Just as the Quraysh disbelieved in you, O Muhammad, so too did the people of Abraham disbelieve in Abraham, and the people of Lot disbelieve in Lot. These nations rejected their messengers with arrogance and stubbornness, yet Allah did not hasten their punishment immediately. Instead, He granted them respite and delayed their reckoning, giving them time to reflect and repent. But when they persisted in their transgression and refused to heed the warnings, Allah seized them with a mighty punishment — a punishment that utterly destroyed them and left no trace of their former power and prosperity. This serves as a powerful lesson: the delay in punishment is not a sign of neglect, but rather a manifestation of divine mercy that ultimately turns into severe justice for those who persist in disbelief.

Embrace Islam with a sincere heart, for it is the path of all the prophets — from Abraham and Lot to Muhammad (peace be upon them all) — and it is the only path that leads to eternal success in this life and the Hereafter.
