Tafsir (Explanation):

O Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, remind your people of the profound moment when your Lord called out to His servant and Messenger, Moses (peace be upon him), commanding him with a mission of immense gravity: "Go to the oppressive people." These were the people of Pharaoh—those who had transgressed against their own souls by persisting in disbelief and arrogance, and who had oppressed the Children of Israel through enslavement, torture, and the murder of their sons. They had crossed every boundary of justice and humanity, yet the mercy of Allah did not abandon them; He sent His prophet to call them back to the truth.

This verse serves as a timeless reminder that Allah, in His infinite justice and mercy, never leaves humanity without guidance. Even the most tyrannical of nations were given the opportunity to repent and reform. The call to Moses was not merely a historical event—it is a living lesson for all of us. It teaches us that no matter how far a person or a society has fallen into oppression and sin, the door of return to Allah remains open. It also highlights the noble role of prophets and messengers: they are sent not to condemn, but to guide, to warn, and to offer a path to salvation.

As believers, we are reminded of the weight of responsibility that comes with knowledge of the truth. Just as Moses was commanded to stand before a tyrant and deliver the message of Allah with courage and wisdom, we too are called to uphold justice and speak the truth, even when it is difficult. The story of Moses inspires us to trust in Allah’s support when we face seemingly insurmountable challenges in our own lives. It reassures us that when we respond to Allah’s call with sincerity and obedience, He will never abandon us—He will guide our steps, strengthen our hearts, and grant us victory over every obstacle, just as He did for His beloved Messenger Moses. Let this verse ignite in your heart a deep love for Allah, who reaches out to His servants with guidance, and a firm resolve to be among those who stand for justice and righteousness in this world.
