Their entire purpose was to spread mischief upon the earth — through disbelief, oppression, and persistent transgression against the commands of Allah. They did not merely neglect goodness; they actively opposed it. They never sought to reform themselves or others, nor did they plant any seed of righteousness. Their hearts were sealed against truth, and their deeds were dedicated solely to destruction.

These nine men were the very ones who conspired to cripple the she-camel — the miraculous sign sent by Allah as a test for the Thamud. They plotted together, encouraged one another in evil, and ultimately carried out the wicked act of slaughtering the blessed animal, defying their prophet and their Lord.

What is striking about their description is the phrase *"they do not reform"* — it shows that corruption was not just an occasional lapse for them, but their constant state. They had no balance, no redeeming quality, no inclination toward good. Let your presence be a source of healing, not harm; of unity, not division; of light, not darkness.

Allah has given you the choice that the nine men never took: to repent, to reform, and to be among those who build rather than destroy. The door of mercy is open until your last breath. Do not let your name be recorded among the corruptors — let it be written among the reformers, for Allah loves those who strive to make the earth a place of peace and goodness.
