Tafsir (Explanation):
On the Day of Judgment, when the enemies of Allah are driven to the Hellfire in groups, the keepers of Hell will seize them and bring them to its brink. When they finally arrive at the Fire, they will try to deny their evil deeds, thinking that denial might save them. But at that very moment, Allah will cause their own body parts to speak the truth. Their ears will testify to every forbidden word they listened to, their eyes will testify to every forbidden sight they gazed upon, and their skins will testify to every sin they committed with their bodies — whether it was oppression, slander, or any act of disobedience. Nothing will remain hidden, for Allah will grant speech to these limbs, just as He granted speech to the tongue, and they will bear witness against their own owners with perfect accuracy.
This is a profound reminder that no sin is ever truly "secret." The very organs we use to enjoy this worldly life — our ears for music and gossip, our eyes for forbidden glances, our skins for unlawful pleasures — will all turn against us on the Day when nothing can be concealed. Yet this testimony is not out of cruelty; it is the ultimate manifestation of Allah's perfect justice. He does not wrong anyone, but He ensures that every soul is repaid for what it earned.
Da‘wah Reflection:
Dear reader, imagine standing before your Lord while your own body speaks against you — the very hands that reached out, the feet that walked, the eyes that looked, the ears that listened. There will be no lawyer, no excuse, no escape. But here is the beautiful news: today, in this life, you can still change the testimony! Turn your ears to the Qur’an, your eyes to the signs of Allah, and your skin to acts of worship and kindness. Let your limbs be witnesses *for* you, not against you, by filling them with obedience. Allah, in His infinite mercy, has given you this moment — not to despair, but to act. The same limbs that could testify against you can testify for you if you use them in His service. Do not wait until that Day when regret will be of no avail. Embrace Islam’s guidance now, and let every part of you become a witness to your faith and righteousness.
