Surah Ad-Dukhan — Verse 16

On that day, the leaders of disbelief were humiliated and destroyed, and the promise of Allah’s vengeance was fulfilled in this world as a foretaste of the greater punishment awaiting them in the Hereafter. Some commentators also include the Day of Judgment as the ultimate manifestation of this strike, when all nations — past and present — will face the absolute consequence of their deeds.
