Word Meanings:

  • Sunnat Allah (سُنَّةَ اللَّهِ): The established way, law, or practice of Allah.
  • Khalat min qabl (قَدْ خَلَتْ مِن قَبْلُ): That has passed away or occurred previously among earlier nations.
  • Tabdeel (تَبْدِيلًا): A change, alteration, or substitution.

Explanation of the Verse:

This verse establishes a profound and unshakable divine law that has operated throughout human history: Allah grants victory to His believing servants and humiliates those who oppose His message. This is not a new or temporary phenomenon—it is the very pattern that unfolded with every prophet and every righteous community before you, O Muhammad. From the time of Nuh, through Ibrahim, Musa, and Isa, the same divine principle held firm: truth prevails, falsehood collapses, and the supporters of Allah's cause are ultimately triumphant.

The verse then delivers a decisive, comforting, and awe-inspiring declaration: you will never find any change in Allah's established way. This means that the victory of the believers is not a matter of chance or circumstance—it is an absolute certainty written into the fabric of creation. Just as the sun rises every morning without fail, just as night follows day, so too does Allah's support descend upon His sincere servants, and so too does the downfall of the arrogant and the oppressors come to pass.

This divine promise carries a powerful message of hope and steadfastness for every believer. When you face trials, when the road seems long, and when the enemies of truth appear strong, remember that you are walking on a path that has been paved with divine victory since the beginning of time. The same Allah who saved Musa from Pharaoh, who protected Ibrahim from the fire, and who granted victory to the believers in every generation—this same Allah is with you today. His promise is not subject to revision, His word is not open to negotiation, and His support for His righteous servants is an eternal, unchanging truth.

A Call to Faith and Action:

O believer, let this verse fill your heart with unshakable confidence. Your victory is not a distant hope—it is a divine decree. But remember that this promise is tied to your sincerity, your patience, and your obedience. Just as the sun rises for those who seek its light, Allah's help descends upon those who strive in His cause with pure hearts. So stand firm, trust in your Lord, and know with certainty that the final word belongs to the people of truth. This is the way of Allah—and the way of Allah never changes.

📜 Verse 21-25 — Al-Fath

And [He promises] other [victories] that you were [so far] unable to [realize] which Allah has already encompassed. And ever is Allah, over all things, competent.
And if those [Makkans] who disbelieve had fought you, they would have turned their backs [in flight]. Then they would not find a protector or a helper.
[This is] the established way of Allah which has occurred before. And never will you find in the way of Allah any change.
And it is He who withheld their hands from you and your hands from them within [the area of] Makkah after He caused you to overcome them. And ever is Allah of what you do, Seeing.
They are the ones who disbelieved and obstructed you from al-Masjid al-Haram while the offering was prevented from reaching its place of sacrifice. And if not for believing men and believing women whom you did not know - that you might trample them and there would befall you because of them dishonor without [your] knowledge - [you would have been permitted to enter Makkah]. [This was so] that Allah might admit to His mercy whom He willed. If they had been apart [from them], We would have punished those who disbelieved among them with painful punishment
