Explanation of the Verse:
Allah, the Exalted, swears by His own majestic truth and declares: "And We have indeed created the heavens, the earth, and everything between them in six days, and no fatigue touched Us." This verse is a powerful reminder of Allah’s absolute sovereignty and limitless power. He created the immense universe—the towering heavens, the vast earth, and all that lies between them—in six distinct stages, each perfectly measured and designed. Yet, despite the enormity of this creation, He was not afflicted by any weariness or exhaustion, for His power is infinite and His will is instant. The creation of such a magnificent universe is not a burden to Him; rather, it is a manifestation of His mercy, wisdom, and glory.
This verse also refutes the false claims of those who, like the Jews, alleged that Allah rested on the seventh day after creation, as if He were a created being subject to fatigue. Allah is free from all such imperfections. He is the Ever-Living, the Self-Sustaining, who neither slumbers nor sleeps, and who never grows tired. The creation of the heavens and the earth in six days is not a sign of limitation but a deliberate act of wisdom, teaching humanity patience, order, and the beauty of gradual progress.
A Call to Reflection and Faith:
Dear reader, pause and reflect on this magnificent truth: the One who created the heavens and the earth without fatigue is the same One who promises to resurrect you after death. If He can bring into existence this vast universe from nothing, then bringing you back to life is even easier for Him. This verse is a direct invitation to strengthen your faith in the Hereafter. When you look at the sky, the mountains, the oceans, and the countless creatures around you, let your heart be filled with awe and gratitude. Let it remind you that nothing is impossible for your Lord. He is the Creator of all, the Sustainer of all, and to Him you will return. So, turn to Him with sincerity, worship Him with devotion, and trust in His promise—for His power knows no bounds, and His mercy encompasses all things. This is the beauty of Islam: a faith that connects you to a God who is ever-present, ever-powerful, and ever-loving, calling you to a life of purpose and peace.
