Surah Ar-Rahman — Verse 31

The righteous will be rewarded with eternal bliss, and the wrongdoers will face the consequences of their actions. This is a promise from Allah, and His promise is true and certain.

It is crucial to understand that when Allah says "We will be free for you," it does not imply that He is ever occupied or distracted — for He is the One who manages all affairs simultaneously, and no matter occupies Him from another matter. The term "thaqalayn" (the two weighty ones) is a beautiful and profound description. They are also heavy with the burden of their deeds, whether good or evil, and they will bear the weight of their choices on the Day of Judgment.

The One who created us, who sustains us, and who knows our innermost thoughts has promised to settle every matter with perfect justice. For on that Day, when Allah "turns to us," the only thing that will benefit us is our faith and our righteous deeds.
