Tafsir (Explanation):
O Messenger, say to those who reject the truth: "I stand upon clear, unshakable evidence from my Lord—a divine proof that leaves no room for doubt. This evidence is the revelation and guidance He has bestowed upon me, calling you to worship Him alone without partners. Yet you have denied this truth and turned away from it."
When the disbelievers, in their arrogance and mockery, challenged you to hasten the punishment they were warned about, you were commanded to respond: "I do not possess the power to bring that which you impatiently demand. That matter rests entirely with Allah alone. The judgment—whether to delay or hasten, to punish or forgive—belongs exclusively to Him. He is the One who declares the truth and rules with perfect justice, and He is the Best of all judges, for His decision is never wrong, never unjust, and never delayed without wisdom."
This verse carries a profound lesson for every believer: certainty in Allah's promise, patience in the face of mockery, and complete submission to His divine decree. The Prophet ﷺ did not waver when challenged, nor did he take matters into his own hands. Instead, he anchored himself in the clarity of his mission and entrusted all outcomes to Allah.
Dear reader, reflect on this beautiful principle: when you are certain of your faith and grounded in divine evidence, the provocations of others lose their power over you. You do not need to prove yourself through haste or reaction. Allah, in His infinite wisdom, knows the perfect timing for everything. He is the Best of judges—so place your trust in Him, and let your heart find peace in His decree. For indeed, the One who created you knows what is best for you, and His justice is beyond compare.
