Word Meanings:

  • Miryah (مِرْيَة): Doubt, uncertainty, or skepticism.
  • La taku (فَلَا تَكُ): Do not be — an emphatic address.
  • Muwaffūhum (لَمُوَفُّوهُمْ): We will certainly give them in full, completely.
  • Naṣībahum (نَصِيبَهُمْ): Their share or portion — here, their due punishment.
  • Ghayr manqūṣ (غَيْرَ مَنقُوصٍ): Without any reduction or deficiency.

Explanation of the Verse:

O Messenger of Allah, do not entertain any doubt or uncertainty about the falsehood of what these polytheists worship. Their idols, their deities, and their rituals are built upon nothing but illusion and error. There is no rational proof, no revealed scripture, and no sound argument to support their worship — it is nothing more than blind imitation of their forefathers who lived before them. They follow inherited tradition without questioning, without seeking truth, and without evidence.

And Allah assures that He will certainly give them their full share of punishment — a punishment that is complete, just, and without any reduction. Every act of shirk (associating partners with Allah), every act of disobedience, and every false belief will be accounted for and requited in full measure. Nothing will be overlooked, and no one will escape the consequences of their choices.

This address, though directed to the Prophet (peace be upon him), is a lesson for the entire Muslim nation: stand firm in certainty, never waver in your conviction of the truth, and trust that Allah's justice is absolute and perfect.

A Call to Reflection and Faith:

Dear reader, this verse carries a profound message of reassurance and warning. It reassures the believer that falsehood, no matter how widespread or deeply rooted in tradition, remains falsehood. It will never prevail over truth. And it warns those who persist in blind imitation of their ancestors — without seeking knowledge or guidance — that their end is sealed with divine justice.

Let this be a reminder for all of us: Islam calls us to think, to question, and to seek the truth with sincerity. It frees us from the chains of blind following and invites us to a direct relationship with our Creator. The Qur'an is the living miracle that guides humanity out of darkness into light. Embrace it with an open heart, and you will find peace that no tradition or inherited custom can ever provide.

Stand firm in your faith, dear believer. Do not let doubts shake your certainty. For Allah's promise is true, His justice is perfect, and His guidance is the only path to success in this life and the Hereafter.

📜 Verse 107-111 — Hud

[They will be] abiding therein as long as the heavens and the earth endure, except what your Lord should will. Indeed, your Lord is an effecter of what He intends.
And as for those who were [destined to be] prosperous, they will be in Paradise, abiding therein as long as the heavens and the earth endure, except what your Lord should will - a bestowal uninterrupted.
So do not be in doubt, [O Muhammad], as to what these [polytheists] are worshipping. They worship not except as their fathers worshipped before. And indeed, We will give them their share undiminished.
And We had certainly given Moses the Scripture, but it came under disagreement. And if not for a word that preceded from your Lord, it would have been judged between them. And indeed they are, concerning the Qur'an, in disquieting doubt.
And indeed, each [of the believers and disbelievers] - your Lord will fully compensate them for their deeds. Indeed, He is Acquainted with what they do.
