Word Meanings:

(Lā Jarama): Truly, certainly, without doubt — an emphatic affirmation.
(Yusirrūn): What they conceal, hide, or keep secret within their hearts and minds.
(Yuʿlinūn): What they make public, reveal, or display openly.
(Al-Mustakbirīn): Those who are arrogant, who proudly reject the truth and refuse to submit to Allah in humility and obedience.

Explanation of the Verse:

This noble verse delivers a decisive and comforting truth: Allah, the Exalted, most certainly knows everything that His servants conceal within their hearts — their hidden beliefs, secret intentions, and private deeds — as well as everything they reveal and display openly before others. Nothing, whether whispered in the depths of the soul or proclaimed in the public square, escapes His perfect knowledge. He is fully aware of every thought, every word, and every action, and He will hold every soul accountable for all of it with perfect justice.

The verse then concludes with a profound and weighty declaration: Allah does not love the arrogant — those who swell with pride and refuse to bow in submission to their Creator, who reject His commands and look down upon His guidance. Such arrogance is not merely disliked; it is an abomination in His sight, and He will repay them with what they deserve. This applies universally — to the disbelievers who reject faith out of pride, and to the believers who fall into arrogance in their conduct, for arrogance is a trait that Allah despises wherever it appears.

A Call to Reflection and Action:

Dear reader, pause and reflect on the majesty of this verse. The One who created you, who sustains you every moment, knows you completely — better than you know yourself. He sees the silent struggles in your heart, the prayers you whisper in the dark, the kindness you show when no one is watching, and the sins you hide from the world. Nothing is lost with Him; every secret is recorded, and every deed will be brought forth on the Day when all hidden things are made manifest.

This is not a message to frighten you, but to liberate you. When you know that Allah sees and knows all, you are freed from the need to impress people or to fear their judgment. You can live with sincerity, knowing that your true worth lies with your Creator alone.

And let this verse be a gentle warning against arrogance — the very trait that caused Iblis to be cast out from Allah's mercy. Humble yourself before your Lord, for He loves the humble, the repentant, and those who submit to Him with a sincere heart. Open your heart to Him today, and you will find that He is near, He hears, and He knows — and His love is the greatest treasure you could ever attain.

📜 Verse 21-25 — An-Nahl

They are, [in fact], dead, not alive, and they do not perceive when they will be resurrected.
Your god is one God. But those who do not believe in the Hereafter - their hearts are disapproving, and they are arrogant.
Assuredly, Allah knows what they conceal and what they declare. Indeed, He does not like the arrogant.
And when it is said to them, "What has your Lord sent down?" They say, "Legends of the former peoples,"
That they may bear their own burdens in full on the Day of Resurrection and some of the burdens of those whom they misguide without knowledge. Unquestionably, evil is that which they bear.
