Tafsir (Explanation):
This verse carries a profound and comforting message for every believer: nothing you do—whether great or small—escapes Allah’s knowledge. Every dirham you spend in charity, every act of goodness you offer, and every vow you make to draw closer to your Lord is fully known to Him. Allah does not lose sight of a single atom’s weight of your deeds. He sees the intention behind your giving, the sincerity in your heart, and the effort you make—and He will reward you for it in ways beyond your imagination.
The verse also addresses those who make vows (nadhr) to Allah—promising to do something good or to give in His cause. Such pledges are sacred commitments, and Allah knows them completely. He is the All-Hearing, All-Seeing, and He will hold you to your promise, rewarding you abundantly for fulfilling it.
Then comes a serious warning: those who are unjust—who withhold what is due to Allah and His creation, who spend in disobedience, or who break their vows—such people are wrongdoers. And for the wrongdoers, there are no helpers. On the Day of Judgment, no one will come to their rescue, no supporter will shield them from Allah’s justice, and no intercessor will protect them from the consequences of their actions.
A Da'wah Reflection:
Dear believer, let this verse fill your heart with hope and motivation! Your Lord is not unaware of your sacrifices. That small amount you gave in secret, that helping hand you extended to someone in need, that promise you made to Allah and kept—all of it is recorded with Him, and He will repay you generously. Never underestimate the value of your deeds, no matter how small they seem, for Allah’s knowledge encompasses everything and His reward is beyond measure.
At the same time, let this verse be a gentle reminder to guard your actions and intentions. Be among those who spend rightly, who fulfill their vows, and who uphold justice in all matters. For the path of righteousness leads to Allah’s pleasure and eternal success, while the path of injustice leads only to loss. Choose today to be among the righteous, and rejoice in the knowledge that your Lord sees, knows, and rewards—nothing is ever wasted with Him.
