Surah Al-Anbiya — Verse 93

Explanation of the Verse:

After mentioning the unity of the divine message brought by all prophets, Allah informs us that the people, despite this clear guidance, did not remain united. Instead, they cut their religion into pieces, dividing themselves into sects and parties. Some became believers, others disbelievers; some worshipped Allah alone, while others associated partners with Him or followed their own desires and the creations of men. They disagreed about the truth and fragmented their unity, each group claiming to follow the right path while rejecting others.

Yet, despite all their differences and divisions, every single one of them — regardless of their sect, belief, or stance — will return to Allah alone on the Day of Judgment. None of them will escape His knowledge or His justice. He will gather them all and hold each accountable for what they did in this life. The righteous will be rewarded with Paradise, and the wrongdoers will face the consequences of their deeds.

This verse carries a profound reminder: division in religion is not a trivial matter, and it does not go unnoticed. The One who created us all will bring us all back, and no sectarian loyalty or claim of truth will protect anyone from the reality of their actions.

Dear reader, this verse calls us to reflect deeply. The religion of Allah was sent as one unified path — the path of submission to Him alone. Yet human beings, throughout history, have fragmented it with their own opinions, innovations, and desires. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) warned us about this and urged us to hold firmly to the Qur'an and his authentic Sunnah, and to beware of division.

Islam invites you to a beautiful unity — a unity of purpose, worship, and brotherhood under the banner of "La ilaha illa Allah" (There is no god but Allah). It is a religion that does not force you to abandon your intellect, but rather elevates it. It does not ask you to follow blindly, but to seek truth with sincerity. And when you find that truth, you find peace — peace with your Creator, peace within yourself, and peace with your fellow human beings.

So do not let the divisions of others distance you from the straight path. Come to the pure message of Islam, the message of all prophets from Adam to Muhammad (peace be upon them all): worship Allah alone, and know that to Him you will return. That return is certain — so prepare for it with good deeds, sincere faith, and love for your Lord. The door of repentance is open, and Allah's mercy is vast. Do not delay; today is the day to return to Him before the day when all shall return.
