Surah Al-Furqan — Verse 25

Tafsir (Explanation):

O Messenger, remind the people of that tremendous Day when the sky will split open, and from its cracks will appear white, delicate clouds — a sight of awe and majesty. On that Day, Allah will send down the angels from the heavens to the earth in vast, countless numbers, descending in an orderly and magnificent procession to surround all of creation at the gathering place of the Hereafter. This will be the moment when Allah Himself comes to judge between His servants — a coming that befits His infinite majesty and glory, beyond any comparison to His creation.

This verse paints a vivid picture of the Day of Judgment, when the universe as we know it will be transformed. The sky, which seems so solid and permanent above us, will split apart like a curtain being torn, revealing the unseen realities behind it. The angels — those noble, obedient servants of Allah who never disobey His command — will descend in overwhelming numbers, filling the horizon, to bear witness to the gathering of all humanity from the first to the last.

This scene should fill every believer's heart with both awe and hope. Awe, because it reminds us of the absolute power of Allah, who controls the heavens and the earth and will bring everything to account. And hope, because it reminds us that justice will prevail — no good deed will be lost, and no wrong will go unpunished. The very angels who recorded our deeds will be present, and Allah, the Most Just, will settle every matter with perfect fairness.

Dear reader, let this verse awaken your heart. The Day is real, and it is nearer than you think. Do not let the distractions of this world make you forget that you will stand before your Lord. Prepare for that Day with sincere repentance, good deeds, and love for Allah and His Messenger. For on that Day, the believers will be honored, and their faces will shine with joy as they are welcomed into eternal bliss. May Allah make us among them.
